The Itinerary:

Day 1 : Hanoi - Van Long Nature Reserved - Cuc Phuong National Park

6.00 am bird leader pick you up at hotel in Hanoi or meet you at the Noi Bai's Airport then go 3 hours to Cuc Phuong Natonal Park. Take a stopping off on the way for Van Long wetland protected area (2 hour or more for Delacour langur and birds) then continue to Cuc Phuong National Park. Arrive there at lunch time. Birding near headquarter for Bar-bellied and Blue-rumped Pitta.

Day 2, 3 : Cuc Phuong

Two full days birding inside the Park, in different trails as botanical garden, Cave of Prehictoric Man, Valley traill, Loop trail and along the road to the park center for Ratchet-tailed Treepie, White-winged Magpie, Pied Falconet, Limestone Wren Babbler, Limestone Leaf Warbler, Fork-tailed Sunbird, Red-collared Woodpecker, White-tailed Flycatcher, Balck-browed and Rufous-throated Fulvetta, Eared Pitta, Fujian Niltava

Day 4 : Cuc Phuong > Tam Dao

A final early morning birding at Cuc Phuong then go to Tam Dao Mountain (4 hours). Check in and birding in the afternoon for Grey Laughingthrush, Blue-naped Pitta.

Day 5 : Tam Dao

Birding all day to the water tank trail for Short-tailed Parrotbill, Collared and Spot-necked Babbler, Sterak-breasted.and Coral-billed and Red-billed Scimitar Babbler, Scheaffer's Fulvetta, Chestnut-collared and Black-chinned Yuhina, Eye-browed and Streak Wren Babbler, Purple Cochoa, Chestnut Bulbul, Fork-tailed Sunbird, Collared Owlet.

Accommodation: Good Hotel in Tam Dao town, 1000 m above sea level

Day 6 : Tam Dao > Ba Be

An early morning birding before breakfast then leave for Ba Be (4 hours), Lunch on the way, arrive on afternoon and then take a boat trip for White-eared Night-Heron.

Accommodation: Asim Guesthouse or homestay at Po Lu village (Accommodation with hot shower)

Day 7 : Ba Be > Hanoi

Take a boat trip in early morning for White-eared Night Heron agian if neccessary, then a few hours birding in the park for Streak Wren Babbler, White-winged Magpie, Pied Falconet. Check out, transfer 5 hours to Hanoi City or Noi Bai International Airport (4,5 hours) for departure flight.
