The Itinerary

Day 1:     Ho Chi Minh City  > Cat Tien National Park.

07:00 am pick you up at Hotel or meet you at the Tan Son Nhat Airport then go to Cat Tien National Park (4 hours). Cat Tien contains the largest remaining area of lowland tropical forest in southern Vietnam and  an incredible diversity of birds and mammals. Endangered birds found at Cat Tien include Germain’s Peacock-pheasant, Green Peafowl and the very elusive Orange-necked Partridge while the mammal list includes Leopard Cat, Lesser Mousedeer, Sambar, Gaur and two endangered primates, Black-shanked Douc Langur and Buff-cheeked Gibbon. Bird photography in the afternoon at feeding spot for bar-bellied and Blue-rumped Pitta.

Day  2, 3:    Cat Tien

Two full days searching to different trails, grassland, along the road and feeding spot for Germain’s Peacock-pheasant, Green Peafowl, Blue-rumped Pitta, Bar-bellied Pitta, Siamese Fireback, Scaly-breasted Partridge, Black and red, Banded and Dusky Broadbill; White-bellied, Great Slaty, Black-and-buff and Heart-spotted Woodpeckers; Blue-bearded Bee-eater; Brown Boobook; Collared Scops Owl; Banded Kingfisher and Grey-faced Tit-Babbler ...and more.

Day 4: Cat Tien > Di Linh

Some final birding and photography at Cat Tien in the morning. Check out and leave Cat Tien about 10.00 am for Di Linh town. Lunch on the way. Check in hotel then drive 20 km from Di Linh to Suoi Lanh Pass, it is an excellence place for Blue Pitta, Black-hooded and Orange-breasted Laughingthrush, Black-crowned Parrotbill, Red-billed Scimitar Babbler, Indochinese Cuckooshrike, Indochinese Barbet.

Day 5: Di Linh

A full day birding and photography at Suoi Lanh Pass for target birds.

Day 6: Di Linh > Da Lat

Some final birding at Suoi Lanh Pass then leave Di Linh after lunch. Drive 1,5 hours directly to Tuyen Lam Lake and Suoi Tia trail for Vietnamese Green Finch, Red Crossbill, Chestnut-vented Nuthatch, Golden-throated and Indochinese Barbet. Go to Da Lat city end of the day. Check in hotel and dinner.

Day 7, 8, 9: Da Lat and Bi Dup NP

Three full days searching at Ta Nung valley, Langbiang Muontain, Bi Doup National Park, Suoi Tia trail for high light species such as Grey-crowned Crocias, Orange-breasted Laughingthrush, Collared Laughingthrush, Hume’s Treecreeper, Yellow-billed Nuthatch, Gray-crowned Tit, Vietnamese Cutia, Black-crowned Fulvetta, Indochinese Cuckooshrike, Slender-billed Oriole, Burmese Shrike, Red Crossbill and Vietnamese Greenfinch, Da Lat Shrike Babbler, Annam Barbet, Black-hooded Laughingthrush, White-cheeked Laughingthrush.

Day 10 :   Da Lat >  Ho Chi Minh City

Some final birding at Da Lat before going back to Ho Chi Minh City or to Tan Son  Nhat International Airport for departure flight.
